Not A Lot of Stuff!
Our hope and goal at LifeBridge is not to overwhelm people, but to encourage one another in positive, practical ways to live as followers of Jesus. So, at this point, we really are banging about three drums, but we’re banging them for all we’re worth: Worship, LifeGroups, and Service.
Sunday Morning Worship
Sunday morning worship is a big deal for us at LifeBridge. It is possible for someone to believe in Jesus without a Church, or regular worship, but it is very hard for that faith to survive, let alone grow.
So we gather together for worship to not only be reminded of, but to receive God the Father’s forgiveness through Jesus, and hear God’s teaching for us as follower of Jesus, and for the Holy Spirit to empower us to actually do the following of Jesus that we just heard about.
We love worshipping together on Sunday mornings at LifeBridge, but we also know that God has even more in store for us.
LifeGroups are when we meet as smaller units of the Church (usually about 7-14 people at a time) during the week. We usually share a meal or a light snack, take some time to socialize, then go dive a little deeper into God’s Word.
The purpose of the LifeGroups is for us to practice the “one another’s” of the Bible. You know: “love one another”, “encourage one another”, “honor one another”, etc…
Along the way, we usually take a deeper dip into the big idea from the sermon for that week and start looking at how it specifically applies to the lives of the people in our LifeGroup, and how it applies to the people (Christian and unchristian) that we know, and how we can take the message of hope and excitement and strength to them.
Right now, we’re focusing on some great opportunities we have to serve our community up here in NE Columbia by helping out at the Central Missouri Food Bank, Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School, and Columbia Healthcare Center Nursing Home. Feel free to join us any time!
